	Sound Design

In Studio De Slapende Hond worden voice-overs en muziek opgenomen voor o.a. films, audiotours
en podcasts. Deze worden verrijkt met geluidseffecten uit een grote, aldoor groeiende bibliotheek.
Daaruit wordt een geluidsontwerp gedestilleerd.

Luisterboek

De ruim 15 jaar ervaring in het maken van luisterboeken voor diverse uitgeverijen heeft ertoe geleid
dat De Slapende Hond het hele proces kan uitvoeren; van het vinden van de juiste stem voor een
boek; het begeleiden van auteurs die hun eigen boeken inspreken; het opschonen van ingesproken
tekst door een team van editors; tot het correctiewerk van proefluisteraars. Alles met als hoofddoel
de kwaliteit van het luisterboek te waarborgen.

Studio De Slapende Hond heeft voor zowel bedrijfsfilms die grotendeels aan het publieke oor
onttrokken zijn, als ook voor kunstprojecten, bioscoopfilms en theater muziek opgenomen.
Daarnaast zijn er verschillende albums en singles van diverse artiesten in de studio opgenomen.

Geluidsstudio De Slapende Hond is
een professionele studio die staat
voor flexibiliteit en kwaliteit.Dit uit zich bijvoorbeeld in vakkundig meedenken met opdrachtgevers; voldoende tijd nemen om
projecten tot een mooi, goed en gewenst resultaat te brengen; opnamen te laten plaatsvinden in een
prettige, ongedwongen werkomgeving waarin het muziek- of geluidsproject centraal staat.In 2006 werd De Slapende Hond opgericht in de Amsterdamse Jordaan door Harm van den Berg, Vincent van Warmerdam en Marcel de Rooij. Sinds 2016 is de studio
gevestigd in Amsterdam Noord. Op de nieuwe locatie zijn vijf studioruimtes die met elkaar in
verbinding staan, maar ook afzonderlijk kunnen worden gebruikt. Hierdoor is het enerzijds mogelijk
om een muziekopname verdeeld over drie opnameruimtes te maken, of anderzijds, om drie
luisterboeken tegelijk op te nemen.
	
Door de jaren heen hebben diverse projecten van de De Slapende Hond prijzen in de wacht
gesleept, zoals een Gouden Kalf voor beste muziek (Kicks, 2007), beste luisterboek 2022 (Ik ga
leven, Lale Gül) en beste luisterboek 2023 (Wij waren, ik ben. Weg uit Ruinerwold, Israel van
Dorsten).

					
De Slapende Hond is gespecialiseerd in sound design, muziek en stemopname. De werkzaamheden
omvatten geluidsmixage voor kunstfilms en bedrijfsfilms, voice-overs voor diverse kunstprojecten,
audiotours, podcasts, hoorspelen en commercials, muziekopname voor documentaires en
bioscoopfilms. Daarnaast heeft De Slapende Hond 15 jaar ervaring in het maken van luisterboeken
voor verschillende uitgeverijen.

					
Marcel de Rooij

					
Sounddesigner, studiotechnicus en beheerder van de studio. Behaalde in 2006 een Master of
Arts (EMMA) in Sound and Music Technology opleiding Audio Design aan de Hogeschool voor
de Kunsten Utrecht.Marcel speelt (bas) gitaar en is door het spelen in bands in de opnamewereld
terechtgekomen, sinds 2006 is hij actief in het werkveld en heeft hij naast zijn
werkzaamheden bij Studio De Slapende Hond ook veel als freelance technicus gewerkt, wat hem ook veel ervaring opleverde naast de muziek bijvoorbeeld in de opname en productie
van stemmen voor dubbing en games.
